Step by step: what to do now
SCRIBE ELIGIBILITY & RULES (Extracted from Official UPSC Special Advertisement No. 52/2026):
1. Scribe Choice: Candidate may use their own scribe or request one from the Commission.
2. Automatic Eligibility: Blindness, Locomotor Disability (both arms affected), and Cerebral Palsy β no extra certificate needed beyond disability status.
3. Other Categories: Scribe allowed on production of a certificate from a Government healthcare institution (or a more detailed medical-board certificate for candidates with less than 40% disability and writing difficulty).
4. Qualification Limit: Scribe's qualification must not exceed the exam's minimum qualification, and must be matriculate (10th pass) or above.
5. Extra Time: 20 minutes per hour of the Recruitment Test.
