Our Story
About SuoMoto
India's first fully audio-guided, keyboard-driven learning platform โ built exclusively for Visually Impaired and PwBD aspirants preparing for competitive exams.
1. The Problem We Were Built to Solve
Somewhere in India, right now โ a talented Visually Impaired aspirant is studying from a random YouTube video. Because there is nothing else built for them.
They have no structured material. No teacher trained to teach them. No platform where they can practise what they have learned. And when the exam arrives โ they face their most humiliating challenge: finding someone willing to be their scribe. Not a right. A favour.
No Accessible Material
Scattered PDFs, random videos, no structure โ no clear goal, no consistency.
No Specialised Guidance
No mentor trained to teach Visually Impaired students โ no direction, no exam cleared.
No Practice Platform
Learning without practise is meaningless โ no retention, no speed, no accuracy.
Scribe Dependency
Years spent asking strangers to become scribes โ for the most important moment of life.
No Community
No platform where similar minds connect, support each other, and share the journey.
This is not a story of lack of talent.
This is the story of a system that was never built for them. Suomoto was built to change that. Completely.
2. Vision
SuoMoto envisions an India where every Visually Impaired aspirant โ from any village, town, or city โ can prepare for any examination, build any skill, and pursue any career with complete independence.
In their own language. On their own terms. Needing no one's help, no one's permission, and no one's scribe.
Suomoto will be India's standard platform for accessible education โ covering every government competitive exam, school curriculum, and skill course essential for Visually Impaired independence: from SSC and IBPS to typing, computer literacy, and AI.
We are not building an app. We are building proof.
That independence is not a privilege. It is a right. And technology can deliver it.
3. Mission
Suomoto delivers India's first fully audio-guided, keyboard-driven learning ecosystem for Visually Impaired and PwBD aspirants โ structured around the 4PI Model: Prepare ยท Practise ยท Progress ยท Perform โ Independently.
4. Our Values
Independence
Every feature is designed to eliminate dependency โ on scribes, on sighted helpers, on fragmented resources. The student is sovereign.
Dignity
No aspirant should have to beg for a scribe. Suomoto returns to the Visually Impaired learner what was always theirs โ the right to walk into an exam as a fully prepared, self-sufficient candidate.
Equity
Not equal treatment โ equal opportunity. A blind student in a small town deserves the same quality of preparation as a sighted student in a metro coaching centre.
Excellence
We do not lower the bar for Visually Impaired aspirants. We raise the platform to meet them at their full potential. Every module is designed for exam-level performance.
Community
No aspirant learns alone. Suomoto connects similar minds โ for support, accountability, healthy competition, and the reassurance that others are on the same journey.
Proof
Every student who clears an exam using Suomoto is a data point. Every feature that works is evidence โ for students, exam bodies, and policymakers โ that accessible education works.
5. The 4PI Model โ Your Complete Exam Journey
Every feature is built around four pillars. The I stands for Independently โ every pillar works without a mouse, without a screen, and without anyone's help.

8. The Policy Context
DEPwD Office Memorandum ยท 1 August 2025
The Department of Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities issued a landmark policy shift in how India conducts written examinations for persons with benchmark disabilities.
- โExam bodies shall provide screen reader-enabled computers for Visually Impaired candidates.
- โVisually Impaired candidates shall be actively encouraged to take exams independently โ without a scribe.
- โThe gradual phase-out of scribe dependency is the explicit goal of the policy.
- โCandidates can no longer bring their own scribes. Scribe qualification is tightened.
Current Status
These 2025 guidelines are in abeyance until 30 June 2026. Examining bodies continue under 2018 guidelines in the interim. The direction, however, is set and irreversible.
What this means for you
Every Visually Impaired aspirant who trains on Suomoto today is building the exact skills the future examination system demands.
When the 2025 guidelines come into force, Suomoto users will be ready. Others will be starting from zero.
Suomoto does not wait for policies to be implemented. Suomoto is already there.
9. Start Your Journey
No scribe needed. No sighted help needed. Just you, your keyboard, and a goal.
Basic modules on Suomoto are free to explore. Nominal premium charges support platform development and keep learning completely ad-free.
