SSC MTS and Havaldar 2026 is live with 8,326 vacancies — a matriculation-level entry into central government service. Apply by 31 July 2026 and request the SSC-provided scribe and 20-minutes-per-hour compensatory time inside the form. Multi-Tasking Staff (MTS) — General
VI: SuitableCentral government ministries and departments · Level 1 — ₹18,000 to 56,900
General office support — record keeping, dispatch, routine clerical assistance. A matriculation-level entry post that is broadly VI-accessible.
VI note: Office-based MTS posts suit most VI candidates; SSC-provided scribe and 20-minutes-per-hour compensatory time.
Havaldar (CBIC / CBN)
VI: Not suitableCentral Board of Indirect Taxes / Narcotics · Level 1
A uniformed support post with physical standards and a Physical Efficiency Test.
VI note: Havaldar posts require physical fitness standards and are not open to Visually Impaired candidates — choose MTS-General instead.
Total: 8,326 posts (MTS + Havaldar). Post-wise and PwBD breakdown in the notification annexure on ssc.gov.in.
VI / PwBD: Not yet announced. 4% horizontal PwBD reservation mandated. MTS (General) posts are generally VI-suitable. Havaldar posts may have physical standard requirements that limit PwBD eligibility — check post-wise suitability table in the official notification.
Computer Based Test
Two sessions, both attempted
Duration: 45 minutes per session; with compensatory time added
Total: 270 marks · No negative marking in Session 1; minus 1 per wrong answer in Session 2
Both sessions are attempted; Session 1 is qualifying in nature and Session 2 is merit-deciding.
