    Clerical and accounts work in railway offices β€” the most accessible NTPC posts. A qualifying typing test applies, and railway medical standards still gate eligibility.

    Accessibility & Quota note: Among the few NTPC posts a low-vision candidate may be eligible for β€” confirm the post’s medical category in the CEN.

    Senior Clerk cum Typist / Junior Account Assistant cum Typist

    Accessibility: Limited

    Indian Railways (Graduate level) Β· Level 5 β€” β‚Ή29,200 basic

    Higher clerical and accounts posts β€” office work with a qualifying typing test, subject to railway medical standards.

    Accessibility & Quota note: Possible for low-vision candidates if the post’s medical category permits β€” verify before applying.

    Station Master / Goods Train Manager (Guard)

    Accessibility: Not suitable

    Indian Railways Β· Level 5 to 6

    Safety-critical operational posts controlling train movement. Require a Computer Based Aptitude Test (CBAT) and high visual standards.

    Accessibility & Quota note: Not open to Visually Impaired candidates β€” these posts need A-grade vision for safety.

    Commercial cum Ticket Clerk / Trains Clerk

    Accessibility: Limited

    Indian Railways Β· Level 2 to 3

    Ticketing and train-clerk roles with public interface and shift work; railway medical standards apply.

    Accessibility & Quota note: Suitability depends on the medical category and duties β€” check the CEN carefully.

    Total: 8,868 posts total β€” Graduate level (CEN 06/2025): 5,810; Undergraduate level (CEN 07/2025): 3,058.

    Reserved / PwBD: Visually Impaired (VI): Limited to low-vision-friendly clerical posts (Junior Clerk, Accounts Clerk). Check CEN on rrbcdg.gov.in.

    CBT-1 (screening)

    Computer Based Test, common to a post group

    Duration: 90 minutes; 120 with compensatory time

      Typing test is qualifying for typist posts; CBAT applies only to Station Master and Guard. Document Verification and a Medical Examination against the post’s railway medical category follow.
