Scribe and compensatory time

RBI Assistant: candidate-arranged scribe at own cost. Scribe must be one academic level below the candidate (revised RBI policy). Compensatory time: 20 minutes per hour in Prelims and Mains. Language Proficiency Test (LPT) is qualifying in nature — PwBD accommodations for LPT must be verified from the official RBI notice. Fee concession: PwBD candidates may be eligible for fee exemption or reduction — check current notice.

Step by step: what to do now

1) Scribe: Candidate-arranged. Must NOT be a graduate if the candidate is a graduate. Must not be a relative or associated with coaching. Submit scribe declaration and disability certificate at the exam centre. 2) Compensatory time: 20 min/hour in Prelims and Mains. 3) Disability certificate: from a Government-recognised medical authority — in the prescribed format — original to be carried. 4) VI candidates: if you used a scribe in Prelims, the same arrangement should be registered for Mains. 5) LPT: Regional language proficiency is tested; PwBD candidates should check if any special accommodation applies for LPT. 6) Prelims result: monitor opportunities.rbi.org.in for result and Mains call letter.
