Past IRDAI AM notifications have had limited PwBD reservation — do not assume VI eligibility without checking the specific notification. PwBD suitability can be category-specific in IRDAI posts.

Assistant Manager (Generalist and Specialist streams)

Insurance Regulatory and Development Authority of India · Assistant Manager — basic ~₹44,500; CTC ~₹16–18 lakh per year

A regulatory officer role at the insurance regulator — policy, supervision and analysis across streams such as Generalist, Actuarial, Finance, Law and IT. Prestigious and well-paid.

VI note: The core analytical and policy work is office-based and accessible, but some IRDAI roles involve on-site inspection of insurers. Suitability is stream-specific — the office/analytical streams suit VI candidates best.
