Scribe and compensatory time

IBPS RRB follows IBPS scribe policy — candidate-arranged. Scribe must be registered at the time of application. Compensatory time: 20 min/hour. RRB posts are state/language-specific — local language proficiency is mandatory. RRB Office Assistant exams are conducted in local/Hindi/English — VI candidates should choose the language they are most comfortable with (Braille question papers may be available — check the notification).

1) Scribe: Candidate-arranged — mandatory to register at application stage. 2) Compensatory time: 20 min/hour for Prelims and Mains. 3) Language: RRB exams are in regional language + Hindi + English — VI candidates should verify the language option and whether Braille question papers are available for the chosen language. 4) Post suitability: Office Assistant is the most accessible post for VI candidates in RRBs. 5) Disability certificate: from competent Government medical authority — original at exam. 6) Participating RRBs: All Regional Rural Banks across India — apply only for RRBs in your home state. Regional Rural Banks (via IBPS) · Clerical cadre — basic ~₹15,000–19,000

Branch banking in rural and semi-urban areas — customer service, cash, accounts. The most VI-accessible RRB post; no interview for this cadre.

VI note: Office and computer-based branch work; scribe and 20-minutes-per-hour compensatory time. Local-language proficiency is required.

Officer Scale I (Assistant Manager)

VI: Limited

Regional Rural Banks (via IBPS) · Officer Scale I — basic ~₹30,000

Entry officer post in an RRB — branch officer work. Largely office-based with some field/agriculture exposure.

VI note: Office work is accessible; some rural field exposure exists — check the post-wise suitability for your case.
