Visually Impaired (VI): 77 posts reserved (Category A Blindness & Low Vision) out of 7,565 total vacancies, per the 27 August 2026 corrigendum (revised from the original 67 out of 6,715). Total posts: 7,565 posts (indicative vacancies across 11 participating banks; revised upward twice by official corrigenda from the original 6,715 — Union Bank of India has still not reported, so this may rise further).

Scribe and compensatory time

IBPS follows its own scribe policy (candidate-arranged) — NOT the SSC/DEPwD August 2025 circular. Scribe qualification: minimum one academic level below the candidate. Scribe must be registered at the time of online application. Compensatory time: 20 minutes per hour for VI and other eligible PwBD. VI candidates can opt for magnified font (large print) instead of a scribe — but NOT both simultaneously. IBPS may have a revised PwBD SOP — check ibps.in for latest guidelines.

Qualification Limit: Minimum one academic level below candidate's highest qualification (must NOT be a graduate). 3. Non-Candidate Rule: Scribe must not be appearing in CRP PO/MT-XVI, a relative, or coaching teacher. 4. Magnified Font Alternative: VI candidates can opt for 14pt magnified font instead of a scribe (cannot use both). 5. Extra Time: 20 minutes per hour in Prelims and Mains.
